Morgan James Muzzleloading Percussion Target Rifle cal .380, c. 1848-1878. Octagon barrel 31 1/8”, Missing false muzzle. Bore is very good+, bright w/ sharp rifling. Barrel bluing 98%, marking “M. JAMES / UTICA” (One of the most prominent of the NY gun makers). Knife blade fr. Sight & V-notch rear sight w/ elevation, Single set trigger. All German silver fittings. Nice high figure walnut stock, shows repaired crack at wrist & toe & darkening spot on left side. Gun weighs 10# 8 oz. NRA good, No FFL Necessary, gun is antique.
