German Flintlock Early 18th Century
Early 18th Cent. German Flintlock, approx .64 cal. 13” forged Damascus
barrel. All-wood pin barrel stock. Proof markings on barrel & lock plate. Barrel
wrapped w/ chased sheet brass 4 1/2” long. Serpentine escutcheon plate missing
forward screw. Butt-cap, trigger guard, lock escutcheon plate, & floral
escutcheon on backstrap all appear silver. Significant carving & checkering on stock, 2 cracks but sound.
Very good functioning condition.
