British Small Arms .220 single shot folding long rifle is a special order with a folding stock. It was made by “The Birmingham Small Arms Co. limited”, patent # 19941-07, and RD # 533202. On the bolt PAT 4373/07. It is a bolt action, single shot, serial No. 13559 puts the date of manufacturing around 1907. Shoots .220 long rifle cartridge. The barrel is 19 5/16” long, and is blued 95% +. The front sight is a beach style flip up which is in excellent condition. Very elaborate front sight with wind adjustment knob. It has a fold down dove tailed v - notch barrel sight and on receiver just forward of bolt it has a 50 and am 100 flip up peep sight. It has a standard smooth finish trigger. Minor superficial scratches around rear sight, works great, and is still very solid. It is a folding stock, superficial scratches and dings, very good A+ condition. It has a 14 6/16” LOP, the stock has a crack in the stock emitting from the toe about ˝” up from the toe following the grain of wood. The stock is very sound, the crack could easily be repaired without notice. Some of the markings include; on right side of BBL / receiver just forward of bolt #13559. Forward of rear BBL dovetail “Army + Navy C.S.Ld London“. This may have been of a civilian issue of the clandestine gun. BSA folding Bicycle was used by Clandestine forces and commandoes. The military version would have been a silenced repeater. We were unable to find in libraries, but we believe that this rifle was made as an accessory to the BSA folding bicycle. Just forward of the bolt on top of the receiver is the BSA trademark of the 3 crossed rifles, which was also used on their folding bicycle. FFL required. E-mail for phone number or more photo's.
